The wolf entered the inn, dodging between the feet of the patrons as it headed for the stairs up to the rooms. After it reached the top of the stairs, it trotted to the room in which Kyndra was staying. Finding the door closed, she curled up on the floor in front of the door. With her head on her paws she watched and waited.

It had been two days since the hunt. Two days since Brig was killed during the hunt. Two days since she left her room to go to the Isle. Two days since she found Gav and Des at the duels to tell them of the horrible events that occurred on the Isle. She felt lost. Felt all alone with Tass still on his trip and now Brig gone.

Now, she was feeling weak and knew she had to eat. Not wanting to eat but knowing she must. She straightened her hair and washed her tear streaked face. No smile on her face now. Her eyes still swollen from all the crying she had done.

She made her way to the door. Not sure if she was ready to face the world, she hesitated then quickly opened the door before she changed her mind. As the door opened, she was startled by the flash of white as the white wolf leapt to all fours. Upon seeing the wolf, she smiled just slightly for the first time since the hunt. It was Kayla who was with Brig on the hunt. She wondered why she was there. She looked down the hall way in each direction hoping to see Brig. But saw no one. Kneeling down, she softly stroked her white fur.

"I'm so glad to see you. I bet you miss him too, don't you..." her voice trailing off.

She stood back up and head towards the stairs motioning for the wolf to follow her. As she made her way down the stairs into the Inn and over to the bar, the wolf followed at her heels. She pulled out a stool to sit while the wolf curled up at her feet. Looking down at her, she smiled then looked back to motion for the barkeep to order some stew for herself and a raw piece of meat for Kayla. After they finished their meals, she slipped off the stool and head back up the stairs with Kayla still at her heels.

Opening the door, she motioned for Kayla to enter her room following behind her to close the door. She looked about, not seeing a good place for her to stay. She smiled as she headed towards the bed and patted the foot of the bed.

“You can sleep here at the foot of my bed, if you wish” she said softly.

With that said, Kayla jumped up on to the foot bed, circled and laid down resting her chin on her paws.
