Slaves for the Rite

Post by Evan Rush Rynth »

As blue hued as the Imp was, Evan’s waist length hair matched that hue and flickered about his persona as he released the handle to the Little Shop of Horrors’ door, listening to it shut with a brief thud behind him. As always, the Elfairy expected his formal greeting from Imp, a slender middle and a toothy grin to laugh it off, but Evan saw none in the shop, least none taller than the countertop.

Eyeing about the shop, Evan’s face drew into a smirk as he noticed some items beyond the typical meaning of horror. First, a blue finger, the one he was not used to, stood on a shelf that had the words, ‘I love Imp!’ and ‘Go Imp’ joined to the hand and finger. Shaking his head, Evan’s vision stopped on other alike items such as cups with the infamous blue Imp on them along with shirts and buttons donning similar fashions.

Evan muttered out loud, “Little bugger is a selling machine! Gad!” Turning from the shelving system, he stumbled upon Imp dolls of all things. Poking one, he heard it make ‘Bay’ sounds until something that sounded like ‘Babe’ finished the chorus and air kisses followed. Chuckling, Evan flicked one in the face and gave it a ‘toothy grin’, “Hush”.

Stepping abreast of the shelves, the Elfairy proceeded to the counter, peeking behind just to make sure he was not alone … for he still needed to speak with the little blue demon.

The Elfairy stood at the counter, a foot taping rhythmically on the floor as time passed for the shopkeeper to answer the current customer, Evan Rush Rynth. Considering leaving that damn little blue demon a present in the shop for waiting for so long, Evan sighed, a hand ascending to his face in frustration. Where was the little Imp at? And what is taking him so long to get to the counter?!?

Thinking in assessment he may be in the wrong shop, granted the Imp said he could achieve Evan’s goal, Evan debated if he should find his daughter taking into account the cost of sinful lives it would cost to reveal her location. After the falling out and destruction accomplished by Lexi Rynth, now known as Lexi Blue, Evan truly pondered the thoughts of finding a demon he called his daughter.

It had been over ten years to his memory. Cast back into the realm of Rhydin for what purposes, he did not know, but the ideals of what was, was not more. Therefore, the war raged on inside of his head, wasting time thinking while waiting for the Imp.
