Summer Cycle Talon of Redwin Tournament

[DUEL Sylus]

The time is upon us once again for the cycles Talon of Redwin.

This tournament will be held on Sunday August 21st starting approximately at 8:15 Rhydin Time, and with allowing for lateness, the fighting will begin promptly at 8:30 pm Rhydin Time.

This is a single elimination tournament and the seeding shall be done via registration which begins at the time of this posting

Ranks eligible for participation are,
Grandmaster,
Master at Arms,
Swordsman,
and
Commoner.

Warlords, Barons, and Squires are encouraged to attend and offer advice to newer fighters if desired.

All participants will have their wins added to their records and their losses erased.

In addition, functional replicas of weapons used by former Overlords will be on hand for combatants to use. Examples of some of them are...

Vixxenish' Deadly Teabag. Nothing is more memorable than getting clubbed in the face by a giant, wet, bag of tea grounds.

Alais d'Nightsong Sidhe's moonsilver Falcion,

Xenograg kathu'Darelir's Sword and Scabbard, originally one of the first Dual Weilding swordsmen and women of the Arena, this former Overlord changed to using his scabbard as an offhand item on occasion.

G'nort's Warhammer,

And Tormey Eludes' Rapier.

Duelists and Arena historians alike are encouraged to come out and cheer on the entrants and share stories surrounding the fabled weapons on display.

As patrons and fighters make their way into the Arena, they will find stone busts of former Overlords placed throughout the cavernous space. Etched onto each bust is the dates of their reigns, number of times they held station, and a recreation of their preferred weapon as taken from where mentioned in the histories.
