Midsummer Mayhem: The Veil Has Failed!

The Summer Solstice was yesterday and disaster has struck RhyDin (or is this the coolest thing to ever happen in this boring town? The verdict is still out!). The veil between RhyDin and Faerie completely disappeared in places yesterday and has still not corrected itself, resulting in all sorts of crazy stuff.

Fauna and flora have gone nuts, growing all over the place. St. Alma’s street in Old Temple has completely disappeared and been replaced by a jungle; vines grew all over Randy’s Rockin’ Roadhouse in Badside; The Toast, a popular breakfast place in Old Market, now has a tree growing in the middle of it (complete with a dryad!); and the path that usually leads to the best beach in Seaside now ends at a swamp filled with some type of creatures with razor sharp teeth who are asking for child sacrifices.

Magic has gone a little wacky too. There’s a lot of magical energy floating about, making mage work easier and infusing everyday objects with a little spark of magic. This report is actually being written by a pen… all on its own!

And if that wasn’t enough? Apparently, there are now sidhe running around magicking people silly and stealing babies! Who does that? Babies are loud and they smell. Why do they want them?

Rumor has it that if you have a friend that’s been glamoured or your apartment has been taken over by the Faerie Wyldes, you should go to Little Elfhame and ask The Empress for her assistance.
