Inspired by the water slide winding its way across town, City Square is hosting the Four Points Cool Down, a water-themed Fight Night to help duelists and spectators alike to beat the heat! The event starts tonight at eight by the eastern clock.
The temporary venue has been set up close to a slow bend in the massive water slide, with naiads and other nymphs offering towels and directing people into the square. Traffic has been blocked off for the night, and mages have radically reshaped the roundabout with transmutation spells that will last until dawn. There are three rings arranged around the space, each enchanted with wards and other measures intended to challenge fighters: a slippery, icy surface, with statues of duelists from a bygone era providing obstacles and cover; a fountain with dozens of nozzles on timers, throwing fighters off balance and showering onlookers with rain; and a wading pool that surges to waist-deep water in powerful waves throughout the fight!
A see-through above-ground pool sits in the center of the rings, surrounded by a narrow deck with a tiki bar made of the same conjured glassy material. Spectators are free to enjoy the pool and watch the fights from on high, with floating drink holders provided at the bar.
