Nako's Twilight Isle Halloween adventure

Post by Nako Iijima »

It was a busy night at the Pachinko Palace, where Nako was helping with the substantial customer rush that the cool and dreary weather had brought in. It was there that the radio in the break room, turned down low and tuned in to the local news brought her the story of the spooky happenings on Twilight Isle! She hurried to find Hina to fill in for her at the office and made Jusco her first stop. What could she be after there? A set of pumpkin carving tools, of course. With appropriate color themed bright orange plastic handles, naturally! Equipped with her new set of tools she hurried to the portal and rushed to the Isle, where she found Royal already busy with the hectic chore of making plenty of jackolantern lamps to ensure the safety of the Isle's many paths. But the first thing Nako could think of was the capybaras! She had helped raise them from babies after all, and as she was quick to point out, "the capys have new babies and families of their own now"

Soon she had liberated the new tools from their plastic packaging and was hard at work carving plenty of jackolantern lamps along with Royal and some helpful goblins. Once they had completed as many lamps as they could carry Royal told Nako they could go camp out by the capybaras home and ensure their safety. Carrying a pair of lit pumpkins to keep them safe, the pair moved through the dark woods toward the interior of the Isle. Nako's own spells came in handy, ensuring lasting candle flames in the lamps they placed around the perimeter of their camp, and before they even put out their sleeping bags and tent, Nako made certain that the capybara's beloved yuzu baths were also well warded with plenty of the atmospheric jackolanterns so that the creatures would not have to miss out on their favorite bath time. Once the animals safety was assured, Nako and Royal's campfire further pushed back the dark and Nako had time to cook a campfire dinner, much needed as they had both been too busy to take a meal time earlier.
