Annual Samhain And Candy Day (Halloween) Celebration!

Continuing a now annual tradition, Mage Emeritus Rachael Blackthorne, her husband Ian, and their family wish to extend the hospitality of the grounds of Number Six Willow Way in the Gloaming District to the public for a celebration of both Samhain and Candy Day (Halloween).

This celebration will take place from 9:00 AM – 2:00 AM on both Tuesday, October 31st and Wednesday, November 1st.

It is up to the guests to supervise any children that accompany them to this event.

The outside grounds of Six Willow Way have been decorated for both holidays.

The Blackthorne Household’s Samhain tradition will be followed once again, and a bonfire will be lit on a section of the grounds near Number Six for protection against evil spirits and mischievous fairies. The area surrounding the bonfire is warded to both prevent the spread of the flames outside of the bonfire area and keep out anyone from entering the bonfire area due to safety concerns.

The guest house at Number Six was decorated for the holiday season and set up for both food and treat distribution.

A dashing black-haired man in a tuxedo and a young blond-haired woman in a yellow ochre wool gown were on hand to both assist in serving the food and beverages and gift any Trick or Treaters with treats, including decorated cookies, cupcakes, and holiday candies, which are age appropriate.

Like last year, vegetable and pork and apple stews and plain grilled cheese sandwiches, each sandwich served with tomato soup, will be offered complimentarily to the guests.

Beverages will be also offered complimentarily to the guests, including apple cider (plain and alcoholic) along with a festive punch for the season in both alcoholic (Halloween Sangria Punch) and non-alcoholic (Melted Witch) varieties.

On Monday, Abby and Madison stayed overnight in #9 Halflight Hollow with their mother in order to take part in some Candy Day celebrations with the Blackthorne Household on Tuesday. They had been wearing various costumes through out the extended weekend and opted for the Cheshire cat and Alice for this the party. They left just about eight in the evening to be home in time to light the fire.

Nako and Royal swung by to enjoy the Candy Day fun after visiting the capybara retreat in the Isle's north. The two chose t-shirts over costumes for the day since they'd be on candy duty later in the night. After they enjoyed the feast and treats offered they toured about to view all the decorations.

Gatito dropped by Number Six Willow Way on Halloween afternoon to spend some time with the Blackthorne family and have himself a bowl of pork and apple stew. He brought with him a big pan of what he called “Full Moon Focaccia” as a festive gift.

Sometime later, he slipped into his fur and could be found playing with the Feline Entourage in the beautiful foliage outside.
