Lexi did not make it in time to start, so we were left with seven duelists. Sal was given the bye, being highest in the cycle's rankings to participate.

Teagan defeated Skid in ten rounds, 5-3.5. The real feat was Skid was wielding a shark. No joke. A shark. Thorne took on Paradise and defeated her in eleven rounds, 5.5-3. Anya then completed the pattern by defeating Laylla in twelve rounds. Get it, ten, eleven, tweleve? Yea, not really good, but it's late, I thought it was interesting. This match was much closer, Anya gaining a half point after it sitting at 4.5-4 for two rounds to win 5-4.

The second round Teagan got to take on the number one seed Sal. Not only did she beat the number one seed, she did it with double his score, 5-2.5. In the other ring, Anya took on Thorne, and in another close match lasting twelve rounds, won it 5.5-4.

The final match was between sixth see Grandmaster Teagan and second seed Commoner Anya! Anya just doesn't seem to know how to not fight in a close match!

Teagan took the lead from the start, Anya couldn't quite tie it in the sceond round, but did keep the thrust away. The third round was a trade of cuts, then Anya took the lead by pinning down Teagan with a well timed thrust. Round four Anya kept Teagin from slashing with a cut, but Teagan just made ANya look silly with a great duck after that. Anya's parry the next round set her up for the 5-4 finish when she cut in the direction Teagan was not defending. After eight round, the shortest match in the cycle's Talon determined that Anya would be the one worthy to hold the Talon of Redwin!
