Three Blind Mice

Post by Craven Delights »

Sleep, a curious thing that. A physical need to rejuvenate the body of depleted energy and nutrients. At least for mortals. For the more unsavory bits of creation it held a different meaning. A confinement to space and time while flesh could mend, and a mind could ponder and plot. The singer of songs had found plenty of time for both since his Garden's disruption. There will be blood he could garauntee.

Earth began to roll and split as the bones of mice, birds, and other small life were pushed up to the surface. Pale, translucent fingers began to emerge, grasping for the sides of this long forgotten sarcophagus. Sounds long since muffled were now a disjointed litany of chaotic tones. The earth continued to rend as more and more of the singer of songs rose from his bed with renewed vigor.

Hollow sockets began to show themselves amid the decomposers and dead matter. In them a crimson glow returned, bright as the devil's iris to match the hunger now burning through his body. Feed he must. Feed and regain his power to stat over. His Garden must be completed.

With the slowness of molasses he rose from the sarcophagus. Skin and bone aglow in the shadows of the crypt that had become his new chambers. The world outside had changed some in his absense. The sounds from above told as much. He would need a guide. Someone to explain these changes. Or perhaps three someones.

The warped mind began to rise above the surging thoughts, a darkening skyline revealing the starting clutches of winter. Afloat there above the cemetary the singer of songs reached out with a sigh as the last of earth fell from him.

"...Renaaaaa..."

"...Cassandraaa..."

"...Kajaaa..."

Great winged creatures and a few other aerial inlcined creations soared through the winter chill above the city. Their solstice dances and frivolity fascinated the singer of songs for a half beat before passing them by. An hour or more his body veered and wafted adrift on the currents of the sky; all the while watching the streets below for a proper posey. There! Crimson hues narrowed in and focused on a flash of gold. The image magnifying for closer inspection.

The singer of songs drifted down as the wind currents shifted, following her from upon his lofty perch. Far be low he watched her move with sure steps away from a place he remembered with hatred. She left the place where the Hunter had injured him and his posies. The memory of that bullet still made his knee ache where the round had passed through cartilege and sinew. Alain would pay dearly. He should have payed for that injury years ago. Even after more than a year he spat at the name Red Dragon Inn. Hatred by association.

With an extension of will he released his hold on the wind and dropped like a sack of ten stone to the cobbled street below. Another extension and his bare feet touched down lighlty apon the ground. He didn't feel the chill wind or the snow swirling around his face as the posey stopped to look through a shop window. The Yule lights made her hair shine as though it possessed an inner glow. Tarnished gold tresses that draped elegantly over a face whose features spoke of education and knowledge. Her scent drifted to him on the wind, bringing with it an odd aroma. It was unfamiliar to him, but something in his memories wanted to say "Formaline". Something aseptic.

A shift and he moved inside the closest alleyway as he felt her turn to look in his direction. He had looked too long. With infinite patience he waited until her scent began to move away. As her profile registered in his memory, another flash came forth. This from a kind soul who asked if there were anything they could do to help him. And help him they had with a little energy. Seeing her now, a name flowed to his lips...

"...Myrraa..." Each syllable verbally carressed in a lover's tones. Yes, she would do as a guide. The others were far too protected now.

(( Warning. Explicit material not suited for ages under 18+.))

Her lips were sweet, but other places sweeter still. The thundering crescendo of her heartbeat just before the exultation of her final breaths came as a crooning symphony. Crimson and honey slithered past his lips with glee. His tongue forked out hungrily to stave the flood of liquid pleasure as the strength of the muscles astride his face fell away. This one had not lasted long. Pity that, but then he had become stronger because of it.

A push to topple the already wilting flower and Cain released an unneeded sigh of delight. He felt so alive as the rush of memories and senses overwhelmed him for the first time in years. This one had sisters. Mara and Mesha. He could ought but wonder if they were as vibrant as she. Perhaps another hunt was in order though he still needed to finish with Myra first. HIs true appetite was far from sated, and he would not let her die yet. He would not let her die at all.

With a searing grown a sharpened nail raked along the tip of his phallys sending forth a soft spattering of deep crimson. The red iron pooled against her lips before she moved. Eyes fluttering in half-death as her lips parted only to surge forth and seal around the source. Her tongue could not feed enough as the blood seeped down her throat. Nails suddenly sharp as steel clamped against his thighs and stomach as she sought more, pulling him closer.

Hands held her at bay as he felt the lifeblood he had taken slip back whence they came. His heart falling into a steady rythm with her own as lips and tongue sought more than he would trully give her. Nocturnal eyes fluttered as she brought him to a plataeu only to draw back and let more blood flow up that fleshy straw. He would not deny this idea in the least.

Slowly the singer of songs fought her, rocking his hips against Myra's increasing hunger. A literal roar rocked from him as the struggle became one sided and his will shattered into her mouth and lower, blood and future life mixing together in an unholy union. Taking ragged breaths he withdrew to let her fall back, a contented sigh in her moans as she slipped into a deep slumber. She was his evermore from henceforth. His eternal rose.

The first of many, many, many, more.

Mayverdia

The cold rushed through her for a few moments before she stepped into the Bar. Fingers pushed through her hair. The hood of her coat was pushed back so that she could look over the calm Bar for a moment. Eventually she was at the bar, the tender filling her mug with a bit of hot tea.

Soft jingle of spurs pause in their song as a scent drifts along the chilled winds. The scent carried something sweet, something fun to see, maybe something to own. A turn caught a flash of movement into a door. This was a strange place. So much light to hurt his eyes "I remember black skies. The lightning all around me. I remember each flash, as time began to blur..." The scent was familiar. Something forgotten as crimsons followed her path to the Stars End bar.

The tender smiled to May for a moment, giving a soft pat to her hand, " There ya go Mayverdia, enjoy it please." He said with a small smile. May nodded, bringing the tea up into her hands and then to her lips. She sipped at the blistering liquid before nodding," It's perfect as usual." She replied as the tea was set down.

"Hit'em with a little ghetto gospel." A slow smile spread across thin lips at her movements. Yes, perfect creature, something familiar. "Those who wish to follow
me… I welcome with my hands.." An adjustment to the belt at his waist, peacemaker slid out of view as steps found a spot at the bar; his eyes were only on her. "And the red suns seems to last into the hills of gold. And peace to this young warrior without the sound of guns."

Heated wisps of steam danced into the air around her as fingers stroked over the pages of the menu before her," I'll take my usual V." It seemed she had a habit of coming here on a frequent basis. Eventually she noticed him, both jaded eyes moving to meet his own. She nodded politely.

A nod returned as the smile remained, eyes too intent. "Weight of the world on my shoulders...there's the weight of the world on my shoulders." Fingers drum on the bar as eyes shift to the interactions abound, but ultimately back to her. As a patron crosses before him, he is simply gone when her line of sight is restored.

Her brows rose suddenly in that instant making her shift in her spot," Hey V, who was that?" Came and went with all her curiosities. She pointed to where the man had been only for V to shrug his shoulders slightly," Hell if I know May. Your food is almost done." May shrugged for a moment, her gaze lingering on the spot he had been.
Eventually, however, she returned to sipping at her tea.

"Long live that day...I decided to fly..." The words right beside her now, on the left. Smile still in place as fingers continue their drum on the bar. "...from the inside." A nod as his eyes sought hers. "Everyday...a new deception. Pick a scene and take direction. On and on I search to connect but I don't wear a mask and I have no regrets..." Eyes slide down her form uncaringly, more like inspecting an insect in a jar than piggish with sexual intent.

May jumped a bit, both eyes flickering back towards the voice and then the man. The way he looked at her was enough to slightly bother her. She sipped her tea, glancing up to V while she spoke," Could you make that for to go? I forgot I have some things I need to handle down at HQ." The man behind the bar shrugged at the shoulders," Sure thing Mayverdia. I'll get that handled."

"I am focused on what I am after." A slow smile offered though not an unfriendly one. "The key to the next open chapter." His tongue slid out and licked over elongated canines as though he were tasting something sweeter still. "I can't escape the pain, I can't control the rage, sometimes I think that I might go insane, I'm not against what’s right, I'm not for what's wrong, I'm just makin’ my way then I'm gone." The lyrical words ripped out in rapid success as crimsons rose and found her eyes, the weight of a thousand years behind that gaze.

Those eyes were hardly enough to give her chills for they were met with the same longevity. Mayverdia didn't seem to be bothered by the stares, she had seen them several times. This situation however there was a twinge of warning. Something in his gaze had forced her to look away, "Jello event coming V. Be ready, we're gonna have it here." Suddenly she was doing her best to ignore the unease of the situation.

"Whatever happened to the young man's heart...swallowed by pain as he slowly fell apart..." A slender brow quirked as she was able to return gaze and the further avoidance only entices him. "I'm falling apart again. And I can't find a way to make amends. I'm lookin’ in both directions...but its make believe. It's all pretend..." His hand rose as though to touch her hair, eyes not wavering from her face.

The touch to her hair had her pause, close both eyes, and draw in a deep breath. She eventually turned to glance once more at him. A certain scornful look in her eyes," I don't know who you are... But I will ask you please, do not touch me." Once more she did her best to be polite, but the touch of his hand made it hard to do so. She didn't know him and at this rate, she wasn't sure she wanted to.

"I feel like there is no need, for conversation. Some questions are best left..."A nod to her request, hand falling away. "...unreasoned. I would rather reveal myself, than my situation. Now and then I consider my hesitation..." Another slow smile as his tongue slid out lick to elongated incisors once more. "The more the light shines through me...I pretend to close my eyes. The more the dark consumes me...I pretend I'm burning." Just as before he seemed to vanish, but his final words hung in the air. "Burnin' bright..."

Just as he had vanished May's food had arrivied. She looked to where the singing man had gone and then back to V. That moment ended with a shrug of her
shoulders and her rising up to pay her tab," I'll bring D around some time. She misses the grub here I think." There was a voice calling to her, telling her that everything was going to be alright.
