Tower of Fire Tournament

With Sivanna's ascencion to the Citadel of Stars, the Tower of Fire is now vacant, and we need a Keeper for it. You know what that means: we're holding a tournament! It will take place on March 23rd, starting at 9:30 PM. Sai will be officiating. Anyone of Enchanter rank or above may enter. The format will be determined according to the number of participants.

So if you want to enter, leave a message in Sai's mailbox. It's the one with all the obscene scribbles on it. My mailbox will work too; I'll pass it on to him. Last-minute entries will be accepted, but please pre-register if you can. It will make it easier to organize the tournament.

Lem DeAngelo swooped up the last spot! Governor Matt Simon submitted an entry, but didn't make it in time. So he'll be on the waiting list in case someone doesn't make it.

This tournament will be single-elimination so that we're not up all night.

There was a tournament! I was there! I saw it! And it was really awesome! Lem couldn't make it, so Matt ended up being able to enter after all.

The seedings were done according to the Ring of Klytus rankings. The first round was particularly dynamite! Every duel went to sudden death! Two of the victories, Kalinda's and Anya's, were comebacks! And in every duel, the lower ranked duelist bested the higher ranked one! Rhaine vs. Vinny was a nailbiter in particular! It went 20 rounds! The second round actually blew by kind of quickly, and both victories were sound.

Thus taking us to the final duel, Maranya Ergin-Falconne vs. Paradise Stromgard! This duel was fought in ring Tartarus, the Keeper of Fire's special ring! After eight rounds of fighting, the lady coming out on top to become the next Keeper of Fire was Paradise Stromgard, 5.0 - 3.0!
