The Hydra Cup

The Rundown
This is an unofficial team competition that starts the week of July 1st and ends the first week of September and is open to all duelists who want to enter.

Roster Requirements
Team registration begins June 18th and will run until midnight on June 24th. Each team has a 5 duelist minimum and a 7 duelist maximum.



Points Earned Incentive
Each duelist earns points for their team every week based on wins and losses earned on Regular Dueling Nights.

1 win = 1 point to the team's total. 1 loss = 1 point deducted from the team total. 5 points awarded for dueling an opponent from another team and winning, but 3 points will be deducted for losing against another competitor.

25 points will be awarded if a team member wins any of the Low Rank tournaments (Panther's Claw, Talon of Redwin) or becomes a holder of the Ring of Klytus.

50 points will be awarded to the duelist who wins the cycle's Warlord Tournament, or Archmage Tournament.

75 points will be awarded if a competitor challenges and becomes a Baron, Keeper, or Opal

*Each team can earn additional points for the number of members who enter Sanctioned tournaments and for how many rounds they last. 1 point for each entrant and 2 points each round for advancing beyond round 1 of the tournament.


100 points will be awarded to the team who wins the title of Overlord, Archmage, or Diamond. (The amount of earned point potential or EPP is deliberate. There is a lot of effort involved with earning the top ranks, and points are meant to reflect this. Points earned or lost for winning/losing within a round, points for round advancement, and Winner's incentive.)

Team Points Earned will be updated each week with the official standings of each sport and a random number of weeks will be chosen to offer double points for all points earned within that time frame.


Bonus Points Incentive
If at any point in the competition a team manages to secure All Challengeable Titles within any given sport, that team will earn a point value equal to total points accrued for each duelist.


Defender Points Incentive
A team member who successfully defends a challengeable title will earn points equal to the Points Earned Incentive as the challenger.


At the end of the competition the Team with the most points will be named Hydra Cup Champion, given a trophy to keep until the next year where they compete to keep the Golden Hydra in their possession.

Team points and Personal Points will be recorded separately. When the Hydra Cup winner is announced the Hydra Cup MVP will be named to the duelist who earned the most points throughout the competition

Additional Prizes
Golden Hydra Champion receives 10,000 nobles

2nd Place = 5,000 nobles

3rd = 2,500
