Children's Day 2017 - Schedule of Events!

Events will be held 11-15 April. Unless otherwise noted, they will be at the Rhydin Observatory Complex and Botanical Garden. Weather permitting, the ROCBG events will be outdoors. The RTS will provide transportation; group transportation is available. During all of these events, a clothing, household supplies, and toy drive will be held to benefit children in low income families, Rhydin's foster care system, and orphanages. Handmade and gently used clothing and toys are welcome!

11 April - Hatton Point's Theme Park, Zoo, and Aquarium will be open free of charge.
12 April - Once again this year, the incomparable Shanachie players will be performing.
13 April - Rhydin's very own TRASH will be performing! While everyone is welcome, this performance is especially for the teenagers of Rhydin. Live feed of this event will be available for those confined to hospitals.
14 April - Keeping with the tradition, Wonderplex will be open to the public free of charge on 14 April, Children's Day.
15 April - Festival in the Park: Food, music, and fun for all! Some amusement rides will be available. Child care services are available for families with small children and those with special needs. Hobbyists and professional artisans are welcome to show off and sell their wares. Demonstrations of wood carving and other crafts are also welcome. Free food and soft drinks will be available in the cafe.
