On what could possibly be the last day of her holding Overlord Isle, The Empress Overlady decided to throw a party to appease the bored Baron of Old Temple, the Sepak Takraw playing Baron of Dockside, and herself because the faerie loved a party!
Everyone was invited (with particular invitations being sent out to all the barons and the title holders of both the Outback and Twilight Isle) to Overlord Isle on Sunday, 4 June 2017 beginning in the early afternoon and carrying on up until the time when everyone could depart for the Arena for the showdown between Jewell and Myria (or stay and drink on the beach).
There was a net for playing Sepak Takraw (that lit up with lights once the sun went down) as well as fire pits, comfortable seating, and warm water to wade into for those not up for what Jewell thought of as "extreme volleyball".
For those more interested in sea bathing than sporting, there were flotation devices (tubes and noodles, floating lounge chairs, and a water trampoline with a floating cooler nearby) and a box of water guns.
Those interested in playing Sepak Takraw should pick a team and start kicking!
There was enough food and drink to last long into the night: kebabs of all sorts, fruit, mermaid water, great buckets filled with Badsiders, flip-flop shaped sandwiches, and a shark watermelon full of fruit. There was also a s'mores station for those who preferred sweet to savory.
((This is a board only event. Everyone is welcome to participate however they would like.))

::having apparently caused this little shindig, if indirectly, E felt the need to offer some information about the game itself, and put the following up on the board, once he got his invitation::
Hi, so, some of you may be wondering about this Sepak Takraw thing. So I thought I would offer some information. It's kind of like volleyball, except the ball looks like this.
Also, instead of hitting the ball with your hands, you use your feet, legs, and head. So serving the ball looks something like this.
And playing the game tends to look something like this.
It's basically an excuse to jump around and kick a ball out of the air and do cool backflips and fall down a lot. It's fun! Hopefully I'll see a few of you there!

While the weather elsewhere in RhyDin may not have been beach party worthy, Ovelord Isle was sun-shiny and warm on Sunday. There were a few fluffy clouds in the sky which shaded the sand just enough that it didn't scald the feet of Sepak Takraw players, but the same showed itself often enough to make jumping in the water rather desirable between games.
Jewell was obviously present at the party she was throwing, Mermaid Water in hand (or a Badsider). She laughed as she tried to play Sepak Takraw, struggling a bit to remember to kick the ball instead of hitting it with her hands. She also used a water gun to "cheat", hitting players of the opposing team in the face to make them miss the ball.
Despite the upcoming challenge in the evening (or perhaps because of it), The Empress was bright, cheerful, sociable, and merciless in a water-gun fight with all party goers.
