Eonia

Keemela’och

Those traveling to Eonia find themselves on a mysterious barge that swiftly navigates through twisted landscapes of imagery and time. The word “Keemela’och” echoes as a faint whisper in your mind and many wonder if that’s the name of the ship or an important message to cling to.

The barge itself is filled with barely visible impressions of creatures and people. It’s impossible to reach out and touch them, yet they’re just a hair’s breadth away. It’s reasonable for travelers to wonder if they’re imagining these other beings, or if each is on a journey of their own. The voyage is as disorienting as it is rapid; at its end, travelers may hesitate before disembarking.

Uek’e’go (far)

As the barge nears its final destination, passengers might notice a large inky black sphere looming in the sky. Travelers feel more secure when the sphere is obscured by the clouds, which thankfully is most of the time. From this distance, when visible, the sphere is the dominant object in the vast skyscape.

Repchem Leptenok

Upon docking in Eonia, travelers disembark onto Repchem Leptenok - the clouds themselves. Solid footing threatens to give way but never does…the honey-yellow clouds nearly fill the sky and somehow, a pathway is revealed. Vibrant ribbons are everywhere - some darting rapidly as if driven by gale-force winds while others seem to stretch for miles, gently propelled by a languishing breeze. Within these ribbons are images, some that disappear quick as a flash and others that linger. Some are of strange and unknown places; others are familiar, almost like memories. The ribbons are hypnotic in nature, alluring to an unhealthy degree. Some travelers leap toward them - their fates unknown. Those who restrain themselves can continue along the path toward their unknown destination.

Yohtar

Those who follow the path eventually wind their way to Yohtar, a city amongst the clouds. The dominant honeyed yellow color partially gives way to hues of reds and blues and greens that peek in and out of the clouds like ghostly remnants. As the path widens, Yohtar springs into view which startles most newcomers. Its most striking characteristic? An inky blackness that simultaneously seems out of place, yet necessary…even indispensable. The image-laden ribbons flow into and out of the city, moving through buildings and other objects as if they didn’t exist.

The city itself is in constant flux; some claim to see old dilapidated buildings while others find everything pristine and new. Indeed, those daring enough to stay within the city for an extended period or visit more than once may find that traversing the same streets results in a vastly different experience, almost as if they’ve traveled far into the future - or the past.

The Neee’n

As travelers approach the city, they may become unsettled by hulking creatures that seem to phase in and out of existence. Those who pause long enough to watch might witness strange behavior - the creatures often seem agitated and restless. Their focus is on the image-laden ribbons, which they attempt to snatch from the air. Upon seizing one, the creatures seem to absorb/ingest them at which point they become satiated and appeased. Are the Neee’n indigenous guardians & protectors of the city, creatures trapped in Eonia, or something more nefarious?

Many travelers are drawn to a specific location on the outskirts of Yohtar, where the black sphere they may have noticed on Keemela’och is now unmistakable. The ribbons seem to struggle against the sphere, which draws them in with an unseen force. Many escape, but some do not; ribbons that are enveloped never emerge.

The sphere compels most to approach, which often overpowers an instinctual desire to flee in the opposite direction. Some individuals who have approached the sphere’s perimeter believe that entering it will allow them to travel through their own memories to re-experience their past or perhaps visit their future. Others assert the sphere is a gateway into time itself and claim to have delved into and altered their own lifestreams (and those of others as well).

Eonia

Eonia is an enthralling skyscape filled with wondrous visuals and potential peril. The trip on the barge, the city of Yohtar and the clouds themselves offer many opportunities for exploration and adventure. The image-laden multi-colored ribbons consist of memories and memory fragments; the consequences of exploring those (and the mysterious sphere) are unknown and may differ from person to person.
