Life unbridled and unrestrained is the land of Paraiso. Vibrant colors lace within the familiar shades of green and bark and vines that scale the length of an entire continent. The smell of sweet dew is blanketed over the paradise. From every direction the sound of life and its blessings can be witnessed and heard. From the pecking of the trees to the calls of the wild it is impossible to escape the primal ecosystem with no pollutants, no masters and only the predators and the prey. Docile warmth hugs all who venture through the lush outer rims and the canopy overhead provides cover from the likes of all different foliage- some recognizable and others utterly spliced in various vibrant neons to form flora of their own. Paraiso can only be described as unmitigated design free of all constraints.
High within the thick roots of the trees The Canopy resides. Spiral woodwork suspended well out of reach of the wildlife houses or housed the indigenous. Thick leather is draped overhead to keep both the sun and the elements out. Fine patchwerks terrace over the various parts of Paraiso where The Canopy does not sprawl giving natural reprieve from the bright light around noon. Beneath The Canopy runs a series of log roads intermingled with lush patches of grass and fauna to give the feet a rest. These planks circle The Canopy and provide any who wish to gaze and wander a solid route to safely do so. Where the log road ends the brush begins to thicken and the shades of green shift into the vibrant display of neons and thicket. Adventuring past the log road is akin to leaving the pasture.
Off the beaten path one will find The Egg. Surrounded by dense vegetation and fauna the round structure has been covered in the wildlife and consumed by it. Only half of its base remains intact and even that has begun to give way to the spanning wirework of vines and flowers alike. Inside The Egg there is a flight of stairs that spirals up to a platform and then a barely recognizable ladder covered in vines and barbs. Wooden remains of a floor have grown intertwined with nature’s own patching it and weaving it into one seamless bed. The Egg is the final constructed shelter in Paraiso. It marks where even the bravest adventurers turn back for The Canopy. Past The Egg the forest grows thick and the light overhead begins to drown.
Piercing the clouds the herculean Infinity Tree lights up Paraiso unlike all the rest of the forest. Greens, violets, blues and all shades glow from the mighty hulk ebbing beneath the bark in harmonious rhythms. All day and all night the gargantuan monument sheds its leaves and pollen spilling out over Paraiso providing life with nurturing sustenance ensuring its survival. Ample fruit hangs from the sturdy branches, each measuring easily thirty feet, glowing their radiant warm gradients of orange and amber and even the pale of chlorophyll. From The Infinity Tree one can gaze over the entirety of Paraiso; it is for this fact that many attempt to scale the natural scraper. Many also succumb to the menagerie of beasts that call it home.
The ultimate prize for scaling The Infinity Tree lays within its thinnest highest branches. Angel Fruit is a lush golden delicacy perforated in the middle by a thin pair of leaves resembling wings. Legend states that to devour Angel Fruit renders one's life unending. The blessing leads many to seek it as once it grows too plump it will fall from the thin branches and assuredly be destroyed on its inevitable descent from The Infinity Tree. To even drink of its juices cures any ailments befalling one. Whether they be physical or magical in nature the nectar of the Angel Fruit will not only relieve but also cure the ailed. Simply eating the Angel Fruit does not make one immune to the rampant diseases through Paraiso. After eating Angel Fruit, repeatedly drinking its nectar will erode all perceived diseases, including naturally occuring systems.
Surrounding The Infinity Tree are The Rapt. Clusters of roots and branches colored violet protrude from the ground up to ten feet tall. Unlike the rest of the fauna in Paraiso, The Rapt do not grow fruit and they do not yield life. They are those who have failed to cease eating Angel Fruit. Eventually the healing properties erode the mind and the conscience leaving individuals to stand in place. They do not starve and they do not perish of dehydration for the wildlife grows through them. Thick barks feed off of their essence and suspend them in perpetuity. They become one with the very thing that they once traversed. Touching The Rapt will allow one to see through The Rapt and witness all that The Rapt have witnessed. Different perspectives and memories bleed into one another depending on which Rapt are conjoined.
