After regular dueling on the night of the nineteenth of June, Warlord Max Blue pressed challenge against Baron Sartan for the right to wear the Eleventh Ring in front. The Warlord was seconded by his brother-in-law, DiAngelo Troy, and his Lady of Honor was Altara d'Poison. He dueled under the legendary jade and black banner of Atrebla. The Baron was seconded by former Baron, Verceterix Favre, and his Lady of Honor was the current Summer Talon of Redwin, Chase MacLaren. All were present as was Overlord Cory Havoick.

The first duel in the best of three matchup started as both duelists swung in low and were unable to score. Sar switched up to move in high but took a blow to the gut from Max. Sartan evened things up by deflecting Max's attack and then began to pull away with a series of offenses. Max was only able to get one more shot in -- a blow low past the Baron's brace -- before Sartan took the 5-2 win by dropping beneath Max's high attack.

The second duel started out the same as the first. The Baron and Warlord both swung in low but neither was able to connect. Max again took the first point of the match, swinging high to hit Sartan as he attempted to step away. The duo exchanged shots, keeping the duel neck-in-neck. In the ninth round, Max slid one in low as Sartan again attempted to step away, taking a 4-3 lead. He finished the duel two rounds later by bracing to fend off the Baron's lunging attack. Thus, the challenge was forced into a third and final duel.

The third and final match became a marathon duel and lasted as long as the previous two duels combined. Max and Sartan spent twenty rounds exchanging shots and defenses. With a low attack and then a high attack, Max was able to garner the final two points he needed to end the match. After twenty rounds, the final score was 9-7.5 in favor of Max.

Thus, Max Blue earned the right to hold the Eleventh Baronial Ring and declared himself renegade to the Overlord.
